Welcome to our blog!
Thanks for stopping by! We hope you are enjoying the Drumline Blueprint site and that you are getting a lot of value from simply browsing around. Now that you have found our blog page, please know that we will be providing you with drumming tips, deep dive information about the marching arts activity and insider knowledge about independent groups that you won’t find anywhere else!
For now, let us leave you with a quick little tip that you can apply to your drumming skills today:
When playing a triplet roll, make sure you fully aware of the beat that alternates between your right and your left hand. Unlike a 16th note or duple meter roll where the beat is usually always on the right hand, the triplet roll will alternate. So when playing with a metronome, make sure your hands line up accordingly and playing a roll in time is a key aspect you definitely don’t want to over look.
For faster rolls, try playing 4 counts of triplet check, followed by 4 counts of triplet roll. Do that for two reps back to back.
Well, hope that helps! Again, look out for more content like this in the future and we look forward to engaging with you soon!
Until next time!
