Why YOU should come prepared!
Being prepared is something that everyone is trying to be taught for as long as we can remember. From knowing how to change a tire to us attempting to be prepared for life. But the feeling of not being prepared or failure is what gets us all going, especially on the marching field.
We all know that before every band mounts the field that someone’s instrument or pit equipment, or even a human breaks down. Although these things break, the band goes on and performs the show and looks near Keanu Reeves’ levels of breathtaking because you’re all beautiful.
So why and how do you prepare?
It may sound silly but this can all be prevented by the use of bringing along some really cheap stuff, and in return you’ll make everyone’s day easier and less of a headache. Which is the type of stuff breathtaking people do for others!
So from personal experience of those who have prepared here’s what you need in order to help out your band when it breaks down!
Duct Tape
Scissors
Ibuprofen
Tape for your sticks
Extra sticks
Healthy snacks
A great attitude.
Wrench/Flathead and Phillips Screwdriver.
A Drum Key
A sense of humor
It sounds super basic, but you have no idea yet about how this will help your band when it’s facing an issue. Don’t be the guy that choose not to prepare when you could’ve for the low price of some tools.
Happy Marching 🙂
